Apparently majority of our "star" prospects were on the team that got shut out.

More like the camp invitees impressed more than our prospects,
especially scoring 2 goals, an Strome could not score on a penalty shot on a goalie i've never heard of.......whats next

I gotta ask.. is Corsby's contract now offically the worst contract in hockey???

Atleast Wang gave DP his BEFORE the injuries.

Very valid point. We have to wait for Crosby to get seriously hurt (which I really hope doesn't happen) to call it the worst.

That's probably as it should be....some of these kids feel as though they have one game to make an impression. They don't have an entire body of work like Strome does....the prospects probably coasted a little bit, understanding what the pace is that is necessary to get ready for actual games, which for them don't start until September.

PS- I'm sure Niederreiter's physicality had a lot to do with teaching the less experienced guys the cr*p you have to go through to try and score at the NHL level. It's not junior....if it was, Alexandre Daigle would have been the second coming of Gretzky.

That's crazy.. you know it. He could have played out his one year, and if he stays healthy, which he will, he would have been able to sign for far more..We will see.

How do you figure that it could still be a bad deal if he stays healthy? What is your wisdom behind your one word answer?

You know, with the small army of defense prospects we had there, maybe that's a good thing that one side was shutout and the other only managed 3 goals (I'm guessing the other three were shootout goals?)

I'd rather have his teammate. He's a little more well rounded, and has no history of concussions. He's not exactly Mr. Healthy either, but I love Malkin. Just wish he didn't play in Pittsburgh.

If he stays healthy for at least half that contract (let's say 6 or 7 years) then it's a great contract. He's obviously one of the top 3 players in the league, if not the best. If he gets another concussion within a year or two, then all bets are off.

It's a high risk/very high reward proposition.

In hindsight...it most certainly is.

In retrospect, it's been a trendsetter.
